Scholarship Overview
The proposed SARENA programme is a complete 2-year master programme, divided into 4 semesters, accounting for a total of 120 ECTS (see Figure). The programme starts with an academic phase of 3 semesters accounting for 90 ECTS (30 ECTS per semester), followed by an either industry or research oriented semester (30 ECTS) during which the students will be expected to do an internship and write their Master thesis.
the two-year Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering, SARENA - SAfe and REliable Nuclear Applications, aims to develop scientific, technical and management skills enabling engineers to work in all domains related to nuclear energy and applications, while simultaneously fostering a strong international culture open to students from all around the world. It consists of an integrated and balanced programme, fully taught in English, covering a wide range of nuclear applications including nuclear power plant (NPP) design and operation and addresses the important issue of safe management of radioactive waste and installations dismantlement and decommissioning, which is a pre-requisite for sustainability.

Green Jobs: Based on the United Nations Environment Programmeme (UNEP), Green jobs are roles that contribute to environmental preservation, decarbonisation, and waste reduction while supporting climate change adaptation.
Higher Education: According to the Cambridge Dictionary, higher education refers to education at a college or university where subjects are studied at an advanced level. UNESCO defines higher education as a rich cultural and scientific asset that enables personal development and promotes economic, technological, and social change
