Job Description
This position is an operator responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining switchboards and related equipment at power control centers that manage the production and distribution of electricity or other power within the transmission network. The equipment operated includes reactors, turbines, generators, and other auxiliary equipment at power generating stations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Has a minimum qualification of level III or an equivalent in the field of electric power plant, environment, chemistry, electrical engineering, or related areas. Has experience equivalent to level III qualifications in electric power plant operations, supported by quality evidence or results from Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competency (RCC). Trained in the application of electrical occupational safety and health (OSH) in power plant environments.
