Job Description
This position is an operator responsible for and in charge of the operating systems at utility companies, non-utility generators, and other companies accessing the power grid. This position controls and regulates the flow of electricity through transmission lines to industrial plants.
Qualifications & Requirements
Has a minimum qualification of level III or an equivalent in the field of renewable energy (RE), environment, chemistry, electrical engineering, or related areas. Has experience equivalent to level III qualifications in power systems, supported by quality evidence or results from Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Recognition of Current Competency (RCC). Trained in the application of electrical occupational safety and health (OSH) in power plant environments.
